Karate 1-Premier League Moscow cancelled

The World Karate Federation regrets to inform that the 2020 Karate 1-Premier League Moscow has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Since the health and well-being of the athletes and all other participants are the top priorities of the WKF, Karate’s international governing body decided, in coordination with the organisers and the local authorities, to definitely cancel the event.

As a result of the progress of the COVID-19 pandemic, the required safety and health conditions cannot be guaranteed despite the efforts of the Russian Federation to make the event happen.

The 2020 Karate 1-Premier League Moscow had initially been scheduled for October 2 to 4. Due to the evolution of the epidemic, the event was postponed to December but the closing event of the season of the 2020 Karate 1-Premier League has now been officially cancelled.
